NAGAFF Founder Draws Line on Apapa Election Interference, Threatens Expulsion

Donates N2m for Logistical Support

The Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, NAGAFF, Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, has drawn a firm line against further interference and distractions ahead of the association’s Apapa Chapter election, warning that members who undermine the process risk expulsion.

Dr Aniebonam, in a message issued on September 15,  2026, ahead of the forthcoming election, said there must be an end to litigation, avoidable petitions and other activities capable of dividing the association, urging all contestants and voters to prepare for the poll.

“There must be an end to litigation and avoidable petitions, all contestants and voters must now prepare for election.

“Any further distraction from any group shall attract expulsion from the NAGAFF family instantly without further notice,” Aniebonam warned.

He specifically cautioned national officers, Board members and established standing committees of the NAGAFF National Headquarters against openly supporting or meddling in the affairs of any contestant.

According to him, any national officer, Board member or committee found engaging in such conduct would be relieved of the responsibility and expelled from the association.

The Founder also announced a ₦2 million logistical support package, comprising ₦1 million each for Engr. Emma Umeadi and Fwdr. Obinali Emeka groups, as part of efforts ahead of the election.

Dr Aniebonam expressed confidence in the NAGAFF President, High Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, describing him as determined to ensure a transparent, credible and people-oriented electoral process.

Meanwhile, he disclosed that a new electoral guideline would shortly be released by the office of the National President to provide direction for the conduct of the Apapa Chapter election.

The Founder urged all contestants and voters to respect the electoral process and work towards preserving the unity of what he described as the “one large, happy family” of NAGAFF.
