In an effort to maintain peace and order in the ongoing Apapa Chapter election process, a statement issued through the National Publicity Secretary of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Dr. Clement Iwegbuna, has revealed a strong directive from the association’s Founder, Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, to tackle anyone found breaching the peace.
Aniebonam directed the National President, Chief Tochukwu Emmanuel Ezisi, to ensure that anyone found disrupting the electoral process is arrested and subjected to police investigation.
He said anyone found culpable after investigation should be charged to court, stressing that NAGAFF would not allow individuals to disrupt its electoral process or threaten peace within the association.
The Founder maintained that membership of NAGAFF is voluntary, noting that no member should remain in the association while engaging in activities capable of breaching the peace of NAGAFF or the wider society.
He further warned that the NAGAFF high command would not fold its arms and allow anyone to foment trouble, adding that members dissatisfied with the association have the option of joining another association.
Aniebonam also appealed to Apapa voters and contestants to maintain peace and adhere to the rules of engagement, electoral guidelines and constitutional provisions of NAGAFF.
“Enough is enough,” the Founder declared.
